It is sincerely recommended to compare the pasteurized and namazake versions side by side, savoring the enjoyment found in their differences.

“Yamawaboshi” is a collaborative sake born from the partnership between Yamawa Shuzoten, the highly popular Miyagi brand “Yamawa,” and Niizawa Sake Brewery of “Hakurakusei.” It was first brewed in 2019 as an original sake commemorating the 200th anniversary of a local department store in Miyagi Prefecture. Since then, it has been released annually as a limited item for the store’s New Year’s first sale, where customers have even lined up before opening hours specifically for “Yamawaboshi,” making it a highly anticipated New Year’s sake. By combining the crisp, sharp, and refreshing character of “Yamawa” with the “ultimate food-pairing sake” philosophy of “Hakurakusei,” this bottle fully expresses the individuality of both—this is “Yamawaboshi.”
