It opens with an enchanting and vibrant aroma reminiscent of grapefruit and dark grapes, showcasing exceptional freshness. On the palate, a gentle sweetness is interwoven with the slight bitterness from the fine lees, creating a highly comfortable mouthfeel. The lower alcohol content gives it a light body, while the delicate lees provide excellent balance—expressing a fresh, juicy, and subtly sweet profile alongside Tenmei’s signature crisp and structured acidity. This is further complemented by a roasted nuance with a hint of bitterness and astringency. Despite its light and approachable style, it possesses the depth of a Daiginjo-grade sake, clearly revealing refined and elegant umami. The finish is smooth, clean, and slightly dry. Overall, this is a superb expression that luxuriously showcases high-level craftsmanship in true Tenmei style.

The “Kura○ Series” makes its debut—featuring “Kurafuji,” brewed with Gohyakumangoku rice from Aizubange. Designed to convey a deeper sense of the brewery’s atmosphere and its beloved hometown, this series focuses on locally grown sake rice and prefectural yeast. The spring release, “Kurafuji,” uses Gohyakumangoku and is inspired by wisteria flowers blooming within the brewery. This wisteria has been carefully nurtured since the brewery’s founding, symbolizing its history and the emotions carried forward into the future—serving as a bridge between past and future, while also capturing the seasonal transition from late spring into early summer.
