It has a crisp and delicate taste, and a refreshing lingering aftertaste that fills the mouth. It pairs well with dishes such as tuna belly and black sugar vinegar pork.

The "Tatenokawa Muga" raw sake series showcases the scene of fresh sake dripping from the brewery flow gate, a taste that is usually available only to the brewery staff. In the third bottle of the series, 100% of the Yamagata prefecture's pride and top-quality sake rice variety, Yuki Megami, is used.
