Description


This wine is characterized by its complex aromas and flavors produced by natural microbiota in the environment.

In 1942, Ichie Shichijyo founded the winery. The winery focuses on using grapes produced on their own farm and is dedicated to producing purely domestic wines. Akio Soga, the fourth-generation descendant responsible for cultivation and winemaking, obtained a master's degree from the Yamanashi University Wine Research Center. He then went to Carvedocchi in Niigata to study cultivation and winemaking. Subsequently, he traveled to France and joined the major winemaker Bichot company, training in Vougeot-Romanée and Chablis villages in the Burgundy region in 1997. Upon returning to Japan, he began from grape cultivation and devoted himself wholeheartedly to winemaking, elevating the Obuse Winery to its current status. Today, the winery is considered one of the most promising wineries in Japan.
