Description


This wine exudes aromas of fruits, coffee, and cocoa beans, all very delicate. The elegant mouthfeel is quite charming. All elements are harmonious and understated, creating a unique world.

In 1942, Ichie Shichijyo founded the winery. The winery places emphasis on using grapes produced on their own farm and is dedicated to producing purely domestic wines. Akio Soga, the fourth-generation descendant responsible for cultivation and winemaking, obtained a master's degree from the Yamanashi University Wine Research Center. He then went to Carvedocchi in Niigata to study cultivation and winemaking. Subsequently, he traveled to France and joined the major winemaker Bichot company, training in Vougeot-Romanée and Chablis villages in the Burgundy region in 1997. Upon returning to Japan, he started from grape cultivation and devoted himself wholeheartedly to winemaking, elevating the Obuse Winery to its current status. Today, the winery is considered one of the most promising wineries in Japan.
