This sake is part of the “Quadrifoglio” derivative series. “Coccinelle” means “ladybug” in Italian and is also considered a seasonal word for summer in Japanese haiku. It uses the same sake rice, “Gin no Sato,” as Quadrifoglio, but is brewed with No. 9 yeast, resulting in a character distinct from the opulent style of Quadrifoglio—more gentle, refreshing, and subtly expressive.
