This special limited-edition Junmai Daiginjo Genshu was matured for about one year at low temperature in-bottle, allowing time to deepen the umami and bring the aroma and flavor into perfect harmony. The result is an elegant sake of refined balance and drinkability — never heavy, always graceful. Gentle rice aromas and faint sweetness bloom on the palate, supported by a fine umami structure that extends into a clean, lingering finish. It’s as if a drop of crystal-clear ginjo has been sealed like a jewel within the bottle. Every bottle is released only at its peak maturity to ensure the flavor reaches its full expression.

The Mansakunohana brand was born in 1981, inspired by the NHK morning drama of the same name set in Yokote City, Akita. Created to distinguish itself from the brewery’s main label Hinomaru, known for richer styles, this new brand embodied a refined and delicate aesthetic, boldly using handwritten hiragana on its label — an avant-garde move in the sake world at the time.

Driven by the spirit of challenge, Mansakunohana continuously experiments with new rice varieties and yeast strains, always striving for evolution while maintaining stable quality in its core lineup. This attitude is both a tribute to the art of brewing and an invitation for drinkers to explore the joy of discovery in sake. Upholding its motto — “unchanging quality, ever-changing pursuit” — Mansakunohana continues to redefine the possibilities of Japanese sake.
