Kuzuryu Daiginjo was introduced in 2004 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Kokuryu Sake Brewing Corporation. Its name comes from the nearby Kuzuryu River. At that time, it was the world's first daiginjo sake designed specifically for warm consumption and garnered widespread attention. Nowadays, the sake is not only suitable for warm drinking but also delicious when served cold. To achieve this effect, the brewery conducted multiple adjustments and research on sweetness, alcohol content, amino acid levels, and underwent sensory evaluations several times. Ultimately, they successfully created their ideal daiginjo sake, which can be enjoyed either warm or chilled.
