Description
The aroma is extremely restrained and composed, expressing the quiet serenity characteristic of a well-aged sake. On the palate it is gentle and smooth, with a soft, finely textured mouthfeel. Deep umami and rich depth unfold gracefully, creating a calm yet never heavy style. Elegant in character with a clean drinking impression, the finish lingers with a long, tender sweetness—an exquisite bottle that allows one to comfortably appreciate the depth of aged sake.

This is a limited release from Obihiro, Hokkaido, brewed by Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery’s Hekiun Brewery under the name “Tokachi,” titled Satsunaigawa Headwaters Storage SILVER.

The sake was quietly aged for three years inside the Satsunai Dam, located upstream along the beautiful Satsunai River—frequently selected as “Japan’s cleanest river”—and surrounded by deep green forests. The storage environment within the dam maintains an average year-round temperature of around 8°C, making it an ideal setting for maturation. Through slow refinement over time, the sake develops a deep, mellow character. With no sharp edges and a round, pure texture, it achieves an exceptionally high level of completion. Enjoy gradually from lightly chilled to room temperature.
