Description
The aroma is rich and expressive, with a full-bodied flavor profile and remarkably pure umami free of off-notes, making it an umami-driven Junmai Ginjo. It carries a lactic nuance alongside fruit aromas reminiscent of muscat grapes and a hint of pineapple. On the palate, a luxurious and expansive rice umami unfolds broadly, delivering a bold presence with well-defined layers.

Tsuchiya Shuzoten was founded in 1900 (Meiji 33) and named its sake “Kamenoumi” from the auspicious phrase “Kiju Fukukai,” expressing the hope that it would be enjoyed at celebratory occasions. Using underground water from the Chikuma River and sake rice from the Saku region, the brewery continues to craft rich and flavorful local sake in its historic wooden kura.
