This summer signature release, HANABI, is the newest addition to the beloved Kirie (Paper-Cut) Series. Its inspiration comes from childhood memories of holding hands with parents while gazing up at grand fireworks blooming over the nearby riverbank. That breathtakingly beautiful scene, like a work of art, remains vivid even today.

Everyone carries their own memories of fireworks in their hearts. This sake offers a cool, refreshing first impression and a gentle umami, with a lingering finish as dazzling and elegant as fireworks blossoming across the night sky—slowly fading, yet unforgettable. Brewed this year by the brewery’s second son, the yeast was specially changed for this edition, refining and elevating HANABI further—an invitation to savor its sophistication.

This series is a collaboration with paper-cut artist Mr. Tsuyoshi Shiozaki, who hails from Saijo City. Despite unexpectedly developing an eye condition, he continues to express himself through the world of kirie. Without any preliminary sketches, he directly cuts out the seasonal landscapes of his hometown, transforming them into stunning works of art. These masterpieces are used as sake labels, paired with sake brewed to embody the four flavors of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. We hope you will feel this spirit and wholeheartedly enjoy its beauty.
