"Asagao" is the summer seasonal release from Gasanryu's highly regarded Betsuatsurae series, inspired by the morning glory flower that blooms during the height of summer. The sake is designed to express a fresh and elegant seasonal character while reflecting the beauty of the Japanese summer. It is brewed using Tamanae, a premium sake rice variety developed in Yamagata Prefecture. Although cultivation volumes remain limited, Tamanae has attracted increasing attention in recent years due to its outstanding brewing potential and ability to produce refined, expressive sake.
