First released in 1974 as a traditionally handcrafted Junmai sake, it was named “Denshu” for its unwavering commitment to expressing the inherent umami of rice grown in the paddies. Today, it has become one of the most sought-after iconic labels, repeatedly winning top prizes in competitions and notoriously difficult to obtain.

As the pinnacle expression within the Denshu lineup, the former “Tobin-tori” has been reintroduced in a renewed form after adjustments to its contents. This Junmai Daiginjo is brewed using Hyogo Prefecture–grown premium sake rice Yamada Nishiki, polished down to 40%. The label and presentation box have also been unified in a deep navy color scheme, giving the overall appearance a calmer, more refined elegance that elevates its dignified character even further.
