Although positioned as a dry sake, this bottle offers a surprisingly rich and expressive aroma, with luscious notes reminiscent of ripe yellow peach and honeyed apple. On the palate, it has a silky, velvety texture, allowing the soft and rounded umami of the rice to unfold naturally. The body is smooth and elegant, leading to a clean, pleasant finish that gradually tapers away. The aroma, umami, and crisp dryness are beautifully balanced, creating a mellow yet refined dry style. When tasted, sweet and refreshing fruit notes reminiscent of honeyed apple become even more apparent, complemented by a clear, layered dry finish. Highly drinkable and inviting, this is an exceptionally well-crafted dry sake combining rich fruit aromas, a silky mouthfeel, and a crisp finish.

A CWS limited-edition release, this is the first Junmai Ginjo pasteurized version in the highly popular “Chodaina” series. The label is once again designed by renowned illustrator Nishiwaki Tadashi, whose works have appeared in “Okaasan to Issho” and numerous advertisements. Beneath the charming and playful label lies a mature, composed, and distinctly dry character, creating an appealing contrast between its appearance and taste.
