Description

Generally, "Hiyaoroshi" sake tends to showcase a rich flavor derived from aging. However, this sake offers a light and refreshing sensation. The aroma carries gentle fruity notes that gracefully enter the mouth.

From there, a rich flavor expands, resembling the full moon depicted on the label, presenting a full-bodied and rounded mouthfeel. After tasting, a relaxed and pleasant acidity emerges, leaving a beautiful aftertaste.

While savoring the seasonal flavors, let's appreciate the rich, aromatic atmosphere of autumn together.

Situated in the northern part of Nagasaki Prefecture, Iki Island is a place that blends history and nature, designated as a Japanese cultural heritage. Today, I would like to introduce the autumn new sake "Hiyaoroshi" crafted by Omoya Shuzo of the Shigeya Brewery.

When it comes to Iki Island, people might first think of barley shochu, but despite a temporary interruption, the region has a long history of sake brewing. Since resuming brewing in 2013, the sake has gained high praise both domestically and internationally due to its high-quality brewing techniques. The label design of this "Hiyaoroshi" is unique, featuring a giant full moon and golden rice ears, capturing the essence of autumn in a modern style.
