Description

This whisky is crafted using over 50% Japanese malt and mixed with malt original sakes from England and Canada. The delicate and refined flavor of Japanese malt is combined with Pilsner malt from England and Canada to create a unique sweet taste in "Jyomaku K". The smoky malt from England releases a light earthy aroma, tightening the overall mouthfeel.

The aroma has a unique combination of vanilla from bourbon barrels, Sichuan pepper-like herbs, and a slight smoky flavor.

The taste has a hint of honey, spices, a slight smoky and earthy flavor, and a subtle young/immature alcohol taste.

The finish has a moderate sweetness, a speedy spice sensation, and a last note of earthiness.

"Jyomaku K" from Shizuoka Distillery marks the beginning of a new future for Japanese whisky.

The Shizuoka Distillery has two primary stills, known as K and W. K is a legendary still manufactured in the 1950s. It worked in a distillery that no longer exists and was later moved to Shizuoka Distillery. This legendary still is like a phoenix reborn from the ashes. Its graceful profile and indirect steam heat give rise to light and splendid sake.

"Jyomaku K" is a single-wash distillation whisky distilled in the legendary K still and aged within the Shizuoka Distillery. The raw materials include malt from England and Japan, resulting in a luxurious use of original sake flavor.
