Description

The top aroma of this sake is relatively mild, and you may feel a slightly bitter lingering taste unique to Kairyoshinjuku when you open the bottle. It has a sharpness like minerals, just like throwing a large stone into calm water and creating ripples.

The taste is balanced between the sweetness and umami of rice and the hardness, with a slightly sour and juicy fruit taste similar to strawberries or cherries, and a refreshing feeling. After opening the bottle, the taste becomes more rounded.

If you want to try pairing with food, consider boiled wild vegetables, grilled bird skewers with horseradish, or grilled saury with herbs. Its taste is somewhat like jelly candy.

"NEXT5" is a brand of the next generation of Japanese sake, which uses a unified brewing rice to highlight the unique characteristics and personalities of the five sake breweries. One of the apparent differences of Ippakusuisei from the other four breweries may be the brewing water. By using hard water rich in minerals and Kairyoshinjuku, it achieves a perfect balance between taste and refreshingness.

In addition, the bottle is designed by architect Tane Tsunekazu and features unique colors of each NEXT5 member. While tasting the sake, you can also enjoy the shape and color of the bottle.
