"Modern Senkin Muku" is a special version that differs from the usual product and was initially sold in a limited quantity as a "nama" (unpasteurized) sake. "Muku" usually means without impurities, such as gold or silver, indicating a pure and simple flavor, in this case referring to the Kame no O and Omachi rice that represent the simple flavor.

The year-round product of "Modern Senkin Muku" has been further upgraded since 28 BY, using mostly "Domaine Sakura Yamadanishiki" rice.
