Description

This sake has a relatively mild aroma with a fresh and full-bodied taste and a moist feeling that is rich in flavor. It leaves a slightly dry impression on the palate with a clear yet complex flavor profile that blends apparent acidity and grape-like fruitiness. The finish is long and satisfying with a fulfilling mouthfeel.

After opening, it is recommended to let the sake breathe for one to two weeks or to refrigerate the unopened bottle for several weeks to three months to further enhance its flavor.

Koueigiku Shuzo, which closed its doors in 2006, reopened in 2019 under new management. Led by brewmaster Katsuaki Yamamoto, they aim to create a new chapter in their brewery's history.

Named "Gekka Burai," meaning "the rogue under the moonlight," this sake is the first high-alcohol and full-bodied sake released by Koueigiku Shuzo. It satisfies the fans' desire for a "rich and full-bodied flavor" and is a new style of sake from Koueigiku Shuzo.
