From Fukui’s renowned Kokuryu Sake Brewery comes the long-celebrated flagship, now introduced as “Itchorai Junmai Ginjo.” Formerly known simply as “Junmai Ginjo,” the name was updated in April 2025, but the beloved taste remains unchanged.

Crafted with Gohyakumangoku rice grown in Fukui Prefecture and polished to 55%, this Junmai Ginjo represents Kokuryu’s pride and craftsmanship. The word “Itchorai” in the Fukui dialect means “one’s finest attire” or “something most cherished,” perfectly symbolizing this iconic expression from Kokuryu.
