Description

This sake has a smooth and gentle mouthfeel, achieved through careful clarification during the brewing process, while still retaining the nostalgic, unrefined flavor of nigori (unfiltered) sake and the delicate complexity of pure rice sake. The rich yet mild flavor of this sake blends pleasant sweetness with the tanginess of lactic acid, allowing drinkers to fully appreciate its unique taste and the natural sweetness of the rice itself.

In 2008, Kawanakajima Junmai Nigorizake was voted the top nigori sake in the Nigori Sake Ranking at the Japan Sake and Shochu Information Center.

Interestingly, this nigori sake accounts for nearly one-third of the total sales volume of the brewery and is beloved by local residents. Among the many varieties of nigori sake, Kawanakajima stands out as it is made from locally-grown Miyama Nishiki sake rice, carefully polished to 65%, and brewed using pure rice sake techniques. It is truly an exceptional sake.
