With its delicate aroma, refreshing taste, and lingering finish, this sake is an ideal choice to pair with various dishes. This sake has been crafted to complement special seasonal delicacies, making it the perfect food accompaniment sake for the end and beginning of the year.

Katsuyama Shuzo was established during the Genroku era of the Edo period (1680-1709), boasting a history of over 320 years. It is the only sake brewery in Sendai designated by the Date clan. They are renowned for their sake, exquisitely packaged in beautifully crafted bottles, and are loved by people worldwide.

This time, Katsuyama Shuzo has introduced a Zodiac bottle decorated with gold flakes. It is a Junmai Daiginjo sake with the addition of gold flakes, presented in an exquisite packaging box. There are two versions available, "Akakane" (red gold) and "Kuro-Akakane" (black red gold), each contained in a beautiful outer box.

"Shoryu Kenzui" refers to the auspicious symbol of the dragon (shoryu) from the twelve zodiac signs offering good fortune (kenzui). Therefore, this phrase is often used to express wishes for great luck in the Year of the Dragon.

In 2024, we wish everyone a year of good luck and leaps forward, so we have specially added magnificent gold powder to the sake and depicted a rising dragon on the label, symbolizing the continuous flow of good fortune.
