When tasted, the fresh sweetness gently blooms in the mouth, and a fruity atmosphere similar to citrus or fresh orange can be fully felt in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is also fresh, allowing you to fully enjoy this new experience of sweet potato shochu, which is hard to believe.

Produced by the prestigious distillery Kokubu Shuzo in Kagoshima Prefecture, this shochu has become a rare item to obtain and is known for its "Flamingo Orange" flavor. The label features a vivid flamingo, exuding a different atmosphere from traditional shochu.

It is made using local ingredients, including Satsuma Masari rice and sweet potatoes. This is a new type of shochu that uses a yeast called "Kagoshima Aroma Yeast No.1" which was released in 2018 and is made through a vacuum distillation process. The shochu's brewmaster, Yasuda, is a well-known name in the industry and has produced this new generation of shochu, which has become popular nationwide.
