Description

This sake is sparkling and effervescent, with a gentle bubble that doesn't overpower the overall taste. The sake is stored under refrigeration at minus 5 degrees Celsius, so the temperature can affect its flavor. The aroma is slightly acidic, akin to the intense acidity of apple cider. The taste is refreshing with a lingering sweetness that reminds one of the premium sake "Hinotori," made by Shinsen-gumi Brewery. The acidity of this sake is refreshing and the sweet aftertaste is even more refreshing than Hinotori's.

It is perfect as a celebratory drink for birthdays or special occasions. The "No.6 Sisyu-Type" is a collaboration with calligraphy artist Sisyu, a professor at Osaka University who hails from Ehime Prefecture. The bottle design features a delicate and dynamic "6" calligraphy character. Sisyu insisted on using the number 6 as the symbolic character because it represents the No. 6 yeast used in making sake. At first glance, the bottle design does not immediately reveal that it's a "6" character and it takes a moment to notice it. However, after seeing it, the image of the delicate but potent No. 6 yeast floating in the sake can be imagined. The sparkling sake has a beautiful presentation that is matched by the glittering colors of the packaging.
