Description

Using Hokkaido barley shochu, this whisky undergoes a maturation process of three years or more in Hokkaido oak barrels. In terms of aroma, compared to the previous robust peatiness, this time it boasts an even stronger peat aroma as its characteristic. The unique Oriental fragrance from the oak barrels gradually emerges on the surface. Despite the emphasized intensity of peat in the aroma, it doesn't overpower the palate with smokiness. Instead, a subtle bitterness and a hint of citrus peel sweetness slowly appear in the taste.

The 12th installment in the 24 Sekki series is introduced by Agio Shuzo. Unlike the previous versions of Kaomise, which were blended whiskies, this time it is a single malt whisky made from barley.
