This sake has a gentle fragrance with a hint of pear and a slight acidity. Upon tasting, a slight effervescence is felt. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky, much like eating a pear. Soon after, a pleasant acidity emerges, perfectly balancing in the mouth. Following the acidity, a moderate astringency and bitterness are felt, accompanied by a moderate alcohol content. The aftertaste is long-lasting and refreshing.

This sake is best consumed chilled, but can also be enjoyed slightly warmed. It pairs well with Western-style salads and cappuccinos, as it has a unique pear flavor that complements them.

Tenbu Brewery releases a new Junmai Daiginjo every year from spring to autumn, with the same polishing rate and yeast used for four consecutive months, only with a different type of rice. This time, it is the first release, "Akaiwa Omachi".
