Description

This sake carries a subtle fruity aroma. Upon tasting, it reveals a sweet and sour flavor, but during the aftertaste, the acidity becomes more pronounced, accompanied by a faint bitterness reminiscent of fruit tea. The taste lingers in the mouth.

Commonly known as "Colors Earth", this sake series highlights the stringent selection criteria for the rice used. The rice used to brew this sake is "Rikucho 132," which was born in Akita Prefecture during the Taisho era. It is a combination of two of the "Three Great Rice Varieties of Japan" from the Meiji era: 'Kamenoo' and 'Aikoku.' Therefore, this rice also goes by the nickname "Aigame." This rice variety gained fame when it was recommended for cultivation by the poet Kenji Miyazawa. It has become a symbol of premium sake rice, alongside 'Kairyoshinko.' The rice is exceptionally hard and achieves a perfect taste through extended cold storage.
