Description

This sake exhibits a moderate fruity aroma and a refreshing freshness, with a well-balanced sweetness that is not too intense. The integration of acidity, bitterness, and a hint of astringency makes it a sake with excellent cost performance.

Crafted by the female brewer Mariyo Tomikawa, "Chuuai" is truly worth savoring!

Tomikawa Shuzoten, the brewery behind the Chuuai and Fumikawa brands, is located along the Arakawa River in the Shouinzawa tributary, recognized as one of Japan's top 100 water sources. It was founded in the Taisho era, around 1913.

While they have been brewing a sake called "Chuuai" since their establishment, to meet the demands of the times, they have also introduced the "Fumikawa" series, expressing rich fragrances and intense rice flavors.

The Fumikawa series focuses on fresh sake, using sake-appropriate rice varieties such as Yamadanishiki, Miyamanishiki, and Gohyakumangoku, presenting a diverse range of Japanese sake personalities.

In recent years, they have also put considerable effort into the Chuuai brand, using rice varieties like Banshu Aiyama, Dewasansan, Akamizu Ocho, among others, to enrich their product line.

This "Chuuai Nakadori Junmai Ginjo Dewasansan Nama" is a limited edition Junmai Ginjo, using the sake-appropriate rice "Dewasansan" from Yamagata Prefecture, and has not undergone filtration or pasteurization.

Furthermore, they have only bottled the most stable part of the sake, known as "Nakadori."
