This plum wine has an amber hue and exudes the sweet and tangy aroma of plums. The taste is rich and full-bodied, with the plum's sweet and sour flavors filling the mouth. Despite its intense flavor, it doesn't become overly sweet, offering a refreshing sensation. It is aged for more than six months and bottled after simple filtration. If you have only tried plum wines made with white wine, you might be surprised by how rich and mellow this plum wine becomes within six months. It can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature, and during the winter, it can be served warm. If you find it too rich, you can add ice or soda water to make it more refreshing.

This plum wine uses the "Shiro Kaga" variety of plums, handpicked from Sato Farm located in Iwadeyama, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. The brewing method used is similar to that of Japanese sake. The sweetness is carefully controlled during the preparation to accentuate the acidity and aroma, allowing you to fully savor the authentic flavor of plums. With a high plum content, even if you add ice or soda water, it won't affect its taste. The plum wine is produced by Niizawa Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. as an expression of gratitude to Sato Farm. They use Sato Farm's plums and their own brand "Atago no Matsu" Japanese sake, thus naming it "Sato Nojo Umeshu Green Plum." Compared to plum wines made with imported plums and white wine, this plum wine has a richer flavor and truly captures the essence of plums.
