Description

The Aftertaste is refreshing and very easy to drink. It has an elegant aroma, with a woody and modest flavor upon entry. The taste of rice is also evident. The acidity is pronounced, and the finish is slightly sweet. As described on the back label of the bottle, it has a hint of firm peach-like flavor. Truly delicious.

Commonly known as the "Earth" label, this sake is produced entirely through pesticide-free cultivation.

In the "Colors" series, "Earth" is one of the most agricultural-focused creations. The rice variety "Rikuu 132" originates from Akita Prefecture during the Taisho era. It is one of the descendants of two of the "Three Great Japanese Varieties" from the Meiji era, "Kame no O" and "Aikoku". Therefore, it is also referred to as "Aikame". This rice variety gained fame as it was recommended for cultivation by the poet and dedicated farmer Kenji Miyazawa.

This rice exhibits strong cold resistance and is historically proven to be suitable for pesticide-free cultivation, hence our company primarily cultivates this variety in our fields. It is beginning to show characteristics of becoming the iconic rice variety of our brewery, on par with the "Reiho Shinko" sake rice.

This rice variety is extremely firm, and its flavor becomes even more perfect after long-term cold storage.
