Description

This sake has a fruity aroma with a hint of sweetness and acidity upon tasting. The aftertaste reveals a more pronounced sourness, balanced with a subtle bitterness like that of fruit tea, which lingers in the mouth.

Also known as "Sando," the "Colors Earth" series embodies the strict selection criteria for sake rice. The rice used to brew this sake is Rikyuu 132, which was created in Akita Prefecture during the Taisho era and is a hybrid of two of the "Big Three" Japanese rice varieties from the Meiji era: Kamenoo and Aikoku. Therefore, this rice is also called "Aigame." It is famous for being recommended for cultivation by the poet Kenji Miyazawa and has become a symbol of sake rice, alongside "Kairyoshinjo." This type of rice is very hard and achieves its perfect taste through long-term refrigeration.

The refined and elegant taste of this sake is characterized by a refreshing acidity that harmonizes with the fruity aroma, creating a unique and complex flavor. It is best enjoyed chilled as an apéritif or with light and delicate dishes.
