Description

Rounded and profound umami accompanied by fruit-like acidity and aroma, making it an excellent choice both for celebratory banquets and as a gift for loved ones.

To commemorate the 170th anniversary of our founding and the 15th anniversary of the launch of “Tanaka Rokugo-go,” we collaborated with seven breweries across Japan to brew seven kinds of sake under the “Sake no Shichifukujin” project. Participating breweries include Aramasa, Sumikawa (Toyobijin), Senkin, Nichinichi, Tomita, Wakanami, and Hanano-ka. Each of these breweries starts from agriculture, confronting the essence of sake brewing directly, and continues to pursue the true nature of brewing as respected partners.

We invited these seven breweries, one after another, to Shiraito Sake Brewery in Itoshima, Fukuoka, to jointly brew with rice that each holds dear. By sharing traditions, techniques, raw materials, and philosophies, the sake created through this collaboration aspires to convey to the world that Japanese sake, even under stagnant circumstances, still holds new possibilities.

The first release is an exquisite Junmai Daiginjo themed “Ubusuna × Hotei,” brewed by Hanano-ka Brewery in Kumamoto Prefecture. Among the Seven Lucky Gods, Hotei symbolizes “smiles and blessings.”

“Ubusuna” is Hanano-ka’s terroir sake, brewed with pesticide-free, naturally cultivated rice. It has recently drawn great attention and is considered one of the most promising brands. When its vivid character merges with Shiraito’s techniques, the resulting limited edition is nothing short of miraculous.
