Description

The unique and delightful flavor of Yamada Nishiki is fully embodied in the mouth, with its refreshing acidity and invigorating aftertaste accentuating the flavors of the cuisine. This special edition, the Namazume (unpasteurized) original sake, truly showcases the presence of the genuine "Oroku."

Oroku Shuzo adheres to the belief of "delivering living sake." All products strictly adhere to six standards: no filtration, unpasteurized or nama (raw) filling, bottle storage, no blending, limited production, and temperature control at -5 degrees Celsius. Additionally, even in further management and sales, transactions are only permitted with trustworthy liquor dealers, and each product must bear the label of every authorized store.

In 1995, the 6th-generation master, Takemichi Ishihara, ventured into sake brewing and received the approval of the toji (master brewer). He personally brewed a sake that he considered ideal, naming the brand "Takemichi." In an era dominated by light and dry sakes, the profound umami and complex mouthfeel of Takemichi stood out. Since 1995, the brewery has been using Yamada Nishiki koji and hanging rice cultivated without pesticides and fertilizers in collaboration with the local agricultural organization "Yamada no Kakashi" in the Joto region of Higashi-Izumo Town.

In addition, the goal of "Takemichi blue," released in September 2016, was to create a refreshing and less fatiguing low-alcohol sake while preserving its unique character. It indeed sparked resonance in the taste buds and hearts of more people as anticipated.
