Description

The pink Yamadanishiki label has a refreshing taste with an elegant flavor that carries sweetness and enhances the taste with fresh acidity.

The black Wataribune label exhibits a mild and refreshing character, making it perfect for pairing with light meals. The taste is very pure, leaving a sophisticated impression as if it were polished to around 20%.

This is a special product released by the famous Tochigi Prefecture sake "HououBiden" to celebrate its 150th anniversary of establishment, named "Migi~BEIKO~." This name comes from a representative sake "Migi," which the Kobayashi brewery brewed before "HououBiden." This sake is produced as a limited edition based on that name and brewed according to the documentation from back then.

The founder of Kobayashi Shuzo, Kobayashi Yonezou, was invited by the Edo Shogunate and moved from Niigata to the entrance of Nikko, which is Miya Mura, and started producing sake there, thus beginning the history of the brewery.

The brewing rice used at that time was called "Toriizumi," which is a quite famous rice used for sake brewing, originating from the territory of the Torii family of Minbu-han in Shimotsuke Province (now Tochigi Prefecture), which is also known as the Kato-gun and Minoo-gun of Harima Province (now Higashi Kobe City and Miki City in Hyogo Prefecture). To this day, Higashi Kobe City and Miki City are famous for the special A-grade area of Yamadanishiki.

To reflect such history, this product uses "Wataribune No.2," a sake brewing rice that has existed since ancient times and is related to Yamadanishiki. By using this brewing rice, "Migi~BEIKO~" represents the origin, history, and present of HououBiden.
