Description

This wine is not heavily concentrated but offers a soft acidity, charming aroma, and sweet taste. We aged it in French oak barrels.

In 1942, Ichie Shichijyo founded the winery. The winery prioritizes using grapes cultivated on their own farm and is committed to producing pure domestic wines. Akio Soga, the fourth-generation descendant responsible for cultivation and winemaking, obtained a master's degree from the Yamanashi University Wine Research Center. He then studied cultivation and winemaking at Carvedocchi in Niigata. Subsequently, he traveled to France and joined the major winemaker Bichot company, where he trained in Vougeot-Romanée and Chablis villages in the Burgundy region in 1997. Upon returning to Japan, he started with grape cultivation and dedicated himself to winemaking, elevating the Obuse Winery to its current status. Today, the winery is regarded as one of Japan's most promising wineries.
