Description

This sake has a lively mouthfeel with a distinct balance of sweetness and acidity, embodying the typical “Abe” style. From the very first sip, it evokes the fruity aromas of white grapes and grapefruit, finishing with a bright bitterness. This Japanese sake shares commonalities with classic junmai ginjo and green label variations, yet it also showcases a distinctly different personality.

Abe Shuzo uses older rice (i.e., rice harvested in 2023) for most of its brewing from October to December each year. This plan is designed to minimize the burden on farmers and milling facilities.

This year's ancient rice brewing series – “Abe Junmai” and “Abe Junmai Ginjo” – features a different variety of rice than in previous years!

The harvest of rice varies from year to year, and how to utilize the abundant rice and give it a unique expression is part of the joy of brewing. Based on this, this brewing process boldly incorporates a lot of creativity and playful ratios, resulting in new products!
